Mexico car rental insurance

It is advisable to be well insured when traveling in Mexico. Your Cancun car hire will offer you several insurance tools that you should consider despite you would probably decline them back home.
US drivers are usually covered by their personal car insurance or credit car insurance - but even if this is your case please bear in mind that your US insurance may not apply for certain types of loss in Mexico or not apply for Mexico at all.
It is, however, very likely that you won't need the collision insurance from your Cancun car rental agency - but again, read the smallprint of your insurance agreement to be sure about this.
